"Early in March 2009, it was announced that the Seinfeld cast would reunite on Larry David's HBO show Curb Your Enthusiasm. Details of the plot have not been released, but it has been confirmed that the entire cast will appear alongside Larry David over multiple episodes. This is the first time since Seinfeld went off the air that the central cast will appear together in a scripted show; dialogues of Curb Your Enthusiasm are mostly improvised, but the plots are scripted."
Probably will be funny at the very least, but there have been rumors of at least one new scene that Jerry and the rest would like to film after they get out of jail from the finale...I'm crossing my fingers that the story arc from Curb Your Enthusiasm will revolve around Larry David trying to get the group back together for some new Seinfeld and have it spill over to actually happening...would be kinda genius after the story arc in Seinfeld where Jerry and George pitched the "show about nothing".
I love Curb, even better than Seinfeld if that's not too sacrilegious? I will definitely check this out, and wouldn't be surprised if your theory pans out, since none of those guys have been doing very well on their own since they left the show. (well Seinfeld got the $$$ for the microsoft commercial campaign)
You know, I'm probably one of the very few people who actually disliked Seinfeld...didn't get it. But I will laugh my ass off at Family Guy, go figure eh
You guys aren't alone, I like Curb much more than Seinfeld. Seinfeld is often the same joke over and over, with lots of patting each other on the back.
Frasier is probably my favorite "sitcom" but I'm not a huge fan of the genre, at all. Give me hour long Cable drama's like Rome, Deadwood, Tudors, etc..
edit: Sons of Anarchy too, if you aren't already...watch it.
