First, i remember some thread being derailed into a zombie flick discussion...this movie looks like the king of fun fuckin zombie flicks, and Woody Harrelson looks to be as badass as he was in Natural Born Killers:
.
Next, if any of you havent seen Rob Zombie's Halloween reboot...holy wow. I'm sure you all know how much I loathe this whole remake bullshit trend Hollywood is going through, and some of you may know my love for the original Halloween (easily my fave horror franchise ever since I was what, 8 when I saw it) But Zombie's remake is fan-fucking-tastic beyond awesome imo. He managed to completely reinvent it instead of copying the original with better visuals. And when you see most negative reviews basing the film's "badness" solely on the brutality and realism of the kill scenes, you know its something special Anyway, as much as I hated the idea of a Halloween 2 remake, it's being done regardless, and this new trailer has swayed my dismay completely 180 degrees. This sequel looks fucking awesome and it solidifies Zombie's reinvention of the franshise in my eyes because this is NOTHING like the original H2.
.
And I'm calling the ending right now that Laurie Strode is the killer in this one, suffering from schizophrenia. You heard it here first
Next, this movie is a few years old, you can download it (like I did) in its full dvd quality glory, but its apparently coming to US theaters this summer anyway. Imo one of the best slasher/horror flicks I've seen in a long long time...fresh, stylish, and an awesome ending (which even I didn't call...well at least not all of it ) Definitely worth checkin out, the reviews are dead on...this is the freshest slasher since Scream.
.
Anf finally. fucking FINALLY this movie is seeing the light of day. I've been reading about this and salivating to see it for the last 4 fucking years almost and FINALLY its coming to dvd this october. This is one to watch out for...people are saying this is the horror film of horror films. I for one can't fucking WAIT much longer...just hoping it leaks on the internet before Oct
.
Yeah, I'm this bored...anyway...off to watch ANOTHER movie. WTB Aion!
Not a Cusack fan Jait? I'll see 2012, knowing full well it will be about the same caliber as Deep Impact or Day after Tomorrow. I'm just seeing it for the cool special effects, I'm well ware it's not going to be the next Raging Bull.
Nah, he's okay. The teaser from the start made me think it was a serious film like a M. Night Shyamalan film, but better. Instead it's half a step away from having Jack Black jump out and fart.
I liked Independence Day quite a bit, I'm sure this will be just as good.
I got some great cell phone shots from Chingdai while they were filming Zombieland. The best story was when all the zombies were at the craft services table eating salads in full costume (so they eat really slowly - but instead of brains it was salad.... get it?) 305 Weaponsmith 238 Alchemist 230 Line Cook currently on Fries Gathering 304 / Aether 220
Holy FUCK 2012 looks badass. And Independence Day was the shit...though I really hope this has to do somewhat with aliens and not some religious bullshit.
Depp as the Mad Hatter = perfect. And Public Enemies looks fucking AWESOME. I'm hoping they at least have the sense to put a Dillinger Escape Plan song in there at some point
This flick is already out, but I completely forgot about it and just finished downloading it...hopefully its as awesome as it looks. Metal horror opera FTW! Some of the members of Skinny Puppy like Ogre have roles in the film as well as written a lot of songs...its GOTTA pwn!
So...Repo! The Genetic Opera was...kinda cool once you get past the absurdity of a musical. I just cant take shit seriously when everyone is singing to each other. I knew that's how the movie was going to be, but even still, I just couldn't take it seriously when some dude is singing a powermetal song and ripping someones guts out. At least Evil Dead the Musical is meant to be a comedy...this wasn't but it was equally absurd. Still, it was kinda cool.
I also finally watched Knowing now that the DVD...uh...is released on some sites but doesnt really come out till next month. ANYWAY...that movie was FUCKING BADASS. Some of the most awesome and disturbingly horrifying while still mesmerizing scenes I've ever seen since the White House was blown up in Independence Day. The story was cool, and even though a lot of reviews are harsh on it for its ending, I thought it was fucking awesome. I knew the only way the movie would be credible is if it ended that way, but I really didn't think it would happen. Fucking best disaster film I've seen in a loooooong time. Of course it WAS written by the same guy who directed The Crow and wrote/directed Dark City.
I'm going to check Knowing out...normally, if it involves Nicholas Cage I assume it's awful, but I'll go against my better judgment and take your review at face value. Plus The Crow and Dark City are two of my favorite movies, and didn't realize it was the same director/writer.
Don't ever compare that piece of shit terrible movie to me. That was one of the absolute worst movies ive ever seen. The ONLY funny part imo was the whole "but it has electolytes" gags.
you know, in every movie it's the unsuspecting non-believer who get offed. So from that perspective, I'm thinking of signing up...however, what if it's some vampire hoax, and they use your sign up info to identify potential enemies? It's a conundrum, no two ways about it.
p.s. I especially lke their weapons page... and at the end it's a picture of a shovel "improvised"
